Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aircraft Fueling Team Lead to join our team at Menzies Aviation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of fuelers while performing fueling/defueling services in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead team members in performing fueling/defueling services while ensuring a safe and efficient work environment
  • Operate fuel trucks, hydrant cards, and stationary carts to fuel aircraft
  • Train employees during on-the-job training and/or airline-specific training, or assign employees to work with experienced agents
  • Accurately account for fuel transactions and perform daily quality control checks on equipment
  • Maintain equipment in clean and functional condition, ensuring the correct loading and balancing of fuel
  • Perform mathematical calculations to ensure accurate fueling operations
  • Defuel aircraft as directed and comply with attendance standards
  • Assist Aircraft Fuelers in their assigned areas to ensure they are performing their duties in a professional, safe, and efficient manner
Requirements
  • Prior aircraft fueling experience required
  • Prior experience preferred, including possession of a Commercial Driver's License or experience in the Oil and Gas Industry
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid US driver's license
  • Must pass pre-employment color vision test, drug screen, and background check
  • Ability to proficiently read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds and work in various weather conditions

Exposure to outdoor environments, various inclement weather conditions, aviation-related fumes, and various noise levels. Acutely aware of safety-related procedures. Position requires wearing safety-related equipment, i.e., goggles, gloves, boots, respirator, hearing protection, and back support as necessitated by a specific task. Position requires lifting, pulling, pushing, rotating, twisting, climbing of high tanks, squatting, kneeling, overhead arm movement. Must be able to occasionally handle weights up to and including 70 pounds. Exposure to related cleaning and chemical materials (review MSDS Reference Book) during routine and special cleaning assignments.
