Eye Care Specialist

MRG Exams, a premier provider of independent medical examinations, seeks an Ophthalmologist to conduct comprehensive eye assessments for United States Veterans through the VA's SHA process.
Apart from any USA State provider license, no requirement exists to apply for multi-State licenses.
This position involves nationwide travel.
Training and continued support provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Ophthalmologist will not make determinations; the VA makes all decisions.
- This role is not treating-oriented but rather focused on assessments.
- On average, 3-6 veterans will be assessed per day.
- This position will be brought on as a 1099 Independent Contractor.
Requirements:
MRG Exams is looking for an Ophthalmologist who is:
- Interested in performing comprehensive eye exam assessments instead of traditional patient care & treatment.
- Able to analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete forms and form medical opinions.
- Completed forms must be submitted within 24 hours after an exam.
- Interested in serving Veterans in their community.
- Able to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Availability: Some availability every month preferred
Job Requirements:
- Must hold a current license as an Ophthalmologist.
- Must be able to perform Visual Field Testing (VFT).
- Meets the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA.
