Job Title: Surgical Technologist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Frederick Surgical Center. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the Operating Room: Set up equipment, instruments, and supplies with precision and speed.
  • Assist Surgeons and Anesthesiologists: Maintain a calm and focused demeanor during procedures, ensuring seamless patient care.
  • Sterilize Instruments: Adhere to strict infection control protocols, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Manage Patient Records: Accurately document vital information and updates, ensuring efficient patient care.
  • Collaborate with the Surgical Team: Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses to ensure efficient patient care, from pre-op to post-op.
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Deliver outstanding care to patients, families, and colleagues alike.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate's degree in Surgical Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Certification: Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Operating Room Technician (CORT), preferred
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in an operating room setting
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask; excellent communication and teamwork skills
