Job Summary:The Registered Dietitian II is a journey-level position that reflects an advanced level of practice. This role requires collaboration with healthcare team members to provide medical nutrition therapy, perform nutrition assessments, diagnose nutrition-related problems, and implement appropriate interventions.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform nutrition assessments using accurate and relevant data to identify nutrition-related problems.
- Develop and implement effective nutrition care plans, utilizing evidence-based guidelines and best practices.
- Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients, family members, and caregivers.
- Participate in patient rounds, case conferences, and discharge planning activities.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate nutrition services and improve patient outcomes.
- Baccalaureate degree in a nutrition-related field.
- Current RD (RD/N) certification confirmed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Master's degree in a nutrition-related field is highly desirable.
- 2+ years of clinical experience in an acute care setting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
