About the Role

At Five Star Senior Living, we are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Resident Assistants. As a Resident Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to our residents, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
  • Support residents with medication management, including taking medication, opening containers, and reading labels
  • Reposition residents in bed and escort them around the community
  • Provide toileting and incontinent care
  • Take vital signs, such as blood pressure, heart rate, and pulse

Communication and Reporting

  • Observe and report on residents' health, escalating any problems efficiently and effectively
  • Detail daily reports to the Nurse or designated charge person at the end of the shift
  • Provide emotional support and serve as a source of comfort for residents and their loved ones
  • Recognize abnormal changes in body functioning and report to a supervisor

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Associates degree or higher, focused on advancement into medical services, or similar, preferred
  • CPR/First Aid Certification desired (unless required by the State)
  • Previous experience in long-term care preferred
  • Valid, unrestricted CNA certification or State/Local equivalent required
