**Job Description:**

We are seeking a detail-oriented Patient Registration Specialist to join our team at Virginia Hospital Center. As a key member of our urology clinic, you will be responsible for scheduling and registering patients, as well as maintaining accurate medical records and preparing charts for clinic sessions.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule appointments and coordinate with physicians and staff
  • Meet and greet patients, answer phone calls, and respond to messages
  • Maintain accurate medical records and prepare charts for clinic sessions
  • Assist with insurance verifications and preauthorizations
  • Process payments and complete daily batching tasks

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
  • Two years of office/clerical experience required, with two years of healthcare/medical experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Working Conditions:

This role requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking. You will also be working in a fast-paced environment with minimal occupational exposure to infectious diseases, bloodborne pathogens, hazardous chemicals, noxious odors, latex, or musculoskeletal injuries.
