Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Tamko Building Products. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for transporting bulk raw materials to our facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Pick up, transport, and unload bulk raw materials as required by production needs.
  • Monitor and maintain adequate levels of bulk and other raw materials on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Occasionally transport miscellaneous equipment and materials to and from company-owned facilities and outside vendors/contractors.
  • Occasionally load and unload materials using a forklift.
  • Perform required raw material testing as specified by Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Complete annual training requirements.
  • Assist with inventory and cycle counts as needed.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • CDL Class A.
  • Forklift certification per company requirements.

Work Environment

  • The employee is frequently required to sit.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and vibration.
