Berkshire Eye Surgery Center seeks a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Pre/Post RN. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. As a Pre/Post RN, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our perioperative services department.

  • Assess patients' health status prior to surgery and ensure accurate identification wristbands.
  • Manage patients' admission processes to the preoperative department, ensuring seamless transitions.
  • Initiate IVs and inform patients about the procedure and attending medical staff.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and log findings in their files.

In the post-operative phase, you will:

  • Assess patients' condition after surgery and ensure all vitals are within normal range.
  • Log all findings in patients' files and answer questions to ensure comfort.
  • Develop individualized care plans based on each patient's unique needs.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a registered nurse with an unrestricted license in the state.
  • Hold current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Have at least 1-3 years of experience in PreOp/PACU or Critical Care.
  • Prior experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred.
