Licensed Practical Nurse / Family Medicine
Shift: Full Time 8:30am-5:30pm
We are looking for a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with extensive experience in patient care and a solid understanding of the specific needs of our patient population.
- Deliver direct and indirect nursing care to patients and families in standard nursing scenarios under the guidance and supervision of a registered nurse or licensed healthcare provider.
- Support physicians and registered nurses in ensuring patient comfort, care, and treatment.
- Assist with diagnostic procedures.
- Monitor and document patients' conditions and progress.
- In complex situations where patients are unstable or require urgent care, the LPN operates under the direct supervision of the RN or licensed provider.
- Conduct daily inventory of medical supplies and equipment; maintain exam/treatment areas according to infection control standards, clinic policies, and protocols, ensuring an adequate supply of forms, materials, and equipment in all examination rooms.
- Collect and record patient vital signs, including temperature, respiration, pulse, and blood pressure; document patient measurements, such as height, weight, pain levels, and others in the electronic medical record.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing Program.
- Licensure/Certification: Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Georgia. Current BLS certification is required.
