We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Ochsner LSU Health System of North Louisiana. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of medical science through research and education.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct care to assigned patients, including IV therapy, under the direction of a registered nurse.
- Direct and assist ancillary nursing staff with assigned duties and interact with the multidisciplinary team and other personnel.
- Demonstrate professional responsibilities and contribute to the development of own practice and the healthcare team.
- Current licensed practical nursing (LPN) license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
- IV therapy credentials.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good interpersonal and delegation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
This role requires working in a patient care area, interacting with patients, and potentially being exposed to blood, body fluids, and tissue. The incumbent must be able to adapt to rapid change and maintain a high level of professionalism in a dynamic environment.
