Job Description

Stratum Networks, a leading information assurance and cybersecurity solutions company, is seeking a skilled Windows Administrator to support one of our clients in the Annapolis Junction, MD area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows servers (2012, 2016, and 2019), including provisioning of a Windows 11 VDI infrastructure for enclave access and program support.
  • Support IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices.
  • Escalate and communicate status to management and internal customers.
  • Provide Tier 2 and 3 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems, creating and updating ServiceNow tickets accordingly.
  • Manage GPOs, apply security and system patching, and coordinate/support all service leads utilizing Windows servers across the program.
  • Configure and manage Windows operating systems, install/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components, implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
  • Be knowledgeable in Power shell, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Active Directory, Trelix ePolicy Orchestrator, Virtualization and VMWare, and Amazon Web Services.
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization, performing system capacity analysis and planning.
  • Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with servers, windows applications, and software integration.

Requirements:

  • Ten (10) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity within the Federal Government.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • DoD 8570 Compliance with IAT level 1 is required (Security+ or A+ certification).
