Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Mayo Clinic. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing assessment, treatment, and monitoring of cardiopulmonary disease across the continuum of care.

• Assess and treat patients with cardiopulmonary disease, including those with respiratory failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and pneumonia.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and provide continuity of care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.

• Graduation from an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
• Basic computer literacy and proficiency in electronic medical records.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Desire for continuous quality improvement and professional growth.

• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field.
• Previous hospital experience, preferably in critical care or pulmonary medicine.
• Additional certifications, such as the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential, are highly valued.
