We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Travel Nurse RN to join our team at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center. As a Med Surg Ortho RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to Med Surg Ortho patients, including those with Orthopedic, GYN, Spine, and Urology conditions.
- Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor and manage patient conditions, including those with COVID-19, and provide primary care as needed.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions.
- 1.5 years of experience in Med Surg/Tele nursing.
- Travel experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret tele health data.
- Current BLS certification.
Our Med Surg Ortho unit operates on a night shift schedule, 7p-7a, with 36 hours per week. Every other weekend and holiday requirement is in place, with no call requirements. Every third weekend and 1 summer/1 winter holiday are also required.
Unit InformationOur Med Surg Tele unit is a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with nursing ratios of 5:1 and the ability to flex to 6:1 pending staffing. RNs on this unit are responsible for drawing labs and providing primary care to patients with COVID-19, among other conditions.
