Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietitian to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Dietitian with Atlantic Health System, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality resident care is maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical nutrition assessment and documentation for general medical and surgical oncology, bariatric/weight management, and critical care.
  • Maintain quality assurance and evaluate compliance with corporate policies and procedures, as well as State and Federal guidelines.
  • Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the Dietary Department, its programs, and activities.
  • Assist dietary staff in the use of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Provide written and oral reports to the Administrator or required concerning the operations of the Dietary Department.
  • Manage and improve policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements by making oral and written recommendations to the Corporate Dietitian.
  • Develop and participate in educational sessions for staff to increase knowledge and improve resident care for the Dietary Department.
  • Review appropriate websites, publications, and other educational materials to ensure that the standards of practice are being achieved.
  • Monitor food temperature and taste through the use of Test Trays, Meal Evaluations, and review of Food Temperature Logs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, Home Science, or a related field.
  • Licensed with the State of New Jersey as a Registered Dietetic Technician or Registered Dietitian or Dietary Manager Association or as applicable.
  • Preferred: Master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, Home Science, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in acute care clinical nutrition or a relevant area.
