CSS Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CSS Technician to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As a CSS Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the preparation and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment, maintaining a high level of quality and safety in our operating rooms.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment according to established protocols and procedures.
- Manage and maintain inventory of surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of instruments and equipment.
- Perform decontamination and sterilization procedures, adhering to strict quality control standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 6 months of experience as a central service technician in a healthcare facility.
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) credential.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds repetitively and stand for long periods.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
