Nurse - Bone Marrow Transplant Unit

Cleveland Clinic's Taussig Cancer Center is a renowned program in the country and Ohio. We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our G110 Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, where you will be part of a supportive environment that values teamwork and excellence.
As a Registered Nurse on our G110 Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, you will care for adult patients undergoing bone marrow or stem cell transplants due to cancer diagnoses. You will also manage symptoms for chronic patients and assist with chemotherapy treatment, for which you will receive specialized training.
This role offers robust orientation training, including:
- Clinic and operating room observations
- One-on-one work with your preceptor
- Weekly progress meetings

Responsibilities:
- Collects and documents objective and subjective data and observations about the patient's health information
- Implements the current plan of nursing care at the direction of the RN or authorized directing healthcare provider
- Documents and verbally communicates the patient's response to the nursing plan of care or medication or treatment
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program
Certifications:
- Current Ohio License as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire or within one year of beginning work in the Emergency Department
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire or within one year of beginning work in the Emergency Department
Work Experience:
- One year of patient care experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good eye-hand coordination, and extensive standing and walking
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
