Postdoctoral Research Fellow

The Rochester Institute of Technology is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our Electrical and Microelectronic Engineering department. As a Postdoctoral Fellow, you will have the opportunity to conduct research in the broad area of wireless communications and information theory, with a particular interest in applications of machine learning in communications; spectrum sharing/coexistence; and joint communications and sensing.

• Conduct independent research in wireless communications and information theory, with a focus on applications of machine learning.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advance research goals.
• Disseminate and publish research results in peer-reviewed journals, reports, meetings, workshops, and conferences.
• Assist in the writing of grant proposals and contribute to the development of research projects.
• May assist in teaching classes and mentoring undergraduate and/or graduate students.
• May assist in managing research laboratories and ensuring compliance with safety and ethics protocols.

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong background in wireless communications and information theory, with a focus on machine learning applications.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated potential for original or collaborative scholarship, with a track record of publishing research results in peer-reviewed journals.
• Ability to acquire accurate, reproducible data and critical eye towards consistency, reproducibility, and the scientific method.
• Excellent project and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
