Position Overview

ABM Services, a prominent provider of integrated facility solutions, is seeking a dedicated Floor Care Technician. This role is essential for the upkeep and maintenance of both carpeted and hard surface flooring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough cleaning and maintenance of various floor types, including tasks such as stripping, scrubbing, buffing, waxing, refinishing, sealing, and spot cleaning.
  • Utilize safety protocols while working in designated areas to ensure a secure environment.
  • Assist the Building/Account Lead with special projects, which may include setups, breakdowns, and transitions during move-ins or move-outs.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
Compensation

The hourly wage for this position is $18.00. The specific compensation offered will depend on the candidate's experience, skills, and geographic location.

Work Schedule

This position requires availability on Sundays from 6 AM to 2:30 PM and Monday through Thursday from 6 PM to 2:30 AM.

Essential Functions
  • Conduct heavy cleaning duties, including floor maintenance, carpet shampooing, wall washing, and waste removal.
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding necessary repairs or improvements to building systems.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with clients, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • Adhere to all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards established by the company and regulatory authorities.
  • Exhibit flexibility and willingness to undertake various assigned tasks.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Preferred: At least one year of customer service experience or similar work experience.
