About the Role

VRC is a global valuation firm that delivers valuation and financial opinions for M&A transactions and financial reporting requirements. We are seeking a skilled Portfolio Valuation Associate to conduct valuations of various securities for investment companies.

This position involves conducting research on securities, competitors, industry, and capital markets, including market multiples, comparable ratios, and credit spreads. You will gather and document pertinent data obtained through client interaction and build, modify, and utilize financial models for discounted cash flow, guideline market multiple, market transaction, and option valuations.

As a Portfolio Valuation Associate, you will assist junior analysts and perform valuation analyses, using judgment to conclude the fair value of relevant securities across a wide range of industries. You will also begin to prepare and review reports to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on securities, competitors, industry, and capital markets
  • Gather and document pertinent data obtained through client interaction
  • Build, modify, and utilize financial models for valuation purposes
  • Assist junior analysts and perform valuation analyses
  • Prepare and review reports to clients

Requirements:

  • 2 to 4 years' experience in constructing and reviewing valuation models and other financial models
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • CFA or ASA designation or progress towards CFA or ASA designation
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Superior analytical capabilities
  • Experience working with diverse teams
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritize tasks, and handle dynamic, time-sensitive engagements
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work flexible hours
  • Current authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship
