Position Overview
Accountable for the planning, organization, and execution of social work services tailored for cancer patients and their families, ensuring that their clinical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs are comprehensively addressed. Provides individual and group counseling, facilitates quality care and education for patients and their families, and oversees the coordination, implementation, and assessment of clinical activities. Engages in psychosocial evaluations and care planning throughout the cancer care continuum in outpatient settings. Maintains communication with referral agencies and community resources for effective patient support.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work is mandatory.
- Experience or training in oncology is advantageous.
Licensure Requirements:
- Must hold a valid Social Worker license in the state of South Dakota.
- Oncology social work certification is preferred.
Work Schedule:
- As needed (PRN)
Compensation:
The hourly wage for this position is outlined below, with the actual rate determined by experience.
- $43.50 per hour
