Join Our Team as an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant

Sampson Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join its Emergency Medicine team. With an average daily volume of 90-100, we require a skilled and experienced candidate who maintains a strong focus and commitment to providing outstanding and compassionate care to all patients.

This position will require a minimum of 10-12 shifts per month. Shift times will be 9A-9P and/or 12P-12A.

  • Employment or 1099 contract opportunity
  • 22-bed Emergency Department
  • 24-hour hospitalist and radiology coverage
  • Wide scope of services provided at hospital including General Surgery, OBGYN, Orthopedics, Primary Care and Urology
  • Strong air and ground support to immediately transfer patients when needed
  • Ability to live in close proximity to Raleigh or Wilmington, North Carolina

In addition to a competitive compensation and benefits plan, qualified applicants may also be eligible for loan repayment, sign-on bonus, and relocation assistance.

About Our Facility:

Sampson Regional Medical Center has served its community since 1950 and is now one of only a handful of independent, community-based hospitals remaining in North Carolina. The healthcare facility serves as an academic training center for medical students, interns, and residents. Accredited by The Joint Commission, the system offers a range of medical services including acute care, outpatient surgery, emergency and critical care, and women's health and children's services. Specialties include general surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics & gynecology, and urology. The system provides valuable outpatient services such as physical therapy and diagnostic imaging in state-of-the-art centers, and a network of physician practices that include primary care, women's health, general surgery, pain management, and urgent care.
