Speech-Language Pathologist - Contract Position

We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team of dedicated professionals. This contract position offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of patients while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Diagnose the nature and severity of communication challenges through clinical evaluations and diagnostic tests.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs and goals.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapy interventions to enhance articulation, fluency, voice, comprehension, and expression.
  • Address swallowing disorders and promote safe swallowing practices.
  • Provide guidance on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices when necessary.
  • Educate patients and families on strategies and exercises to improve communication and swallowing skills.
  • Continuously monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, therapists, and educators.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Assist patients in applying improved communication skills to their daily lives, education, or work environments.
  • Stay current on the latest advancements in speech-language pathology through professional development activities.
Qualifications
  • Valid and active Speech-Language Pathologist license in good standing.
