The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a compassionate and adaptable Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as a Travel LPN. This opportunity allows an LPN to travel locally by working in various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius from home address, providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.

Job Summary

This position requires a skilled nurse who can demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting. The ideal candidate will have the ability to perform testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status and provide the care needed. Ensures the health, comfort, and safety of residents and contributes to the assessment of residents and administers medications or treatments as ordered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides technical support to healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Documents resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary.
  • Counsels residents, family members, and/or resident advocate on prevention and treatment plans.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Have graduated from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Currently hold an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
  • Obtain and subsequently maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.
  • Complete required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility.
