About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at S&P Global. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing governance and support in establishing and maintaining accounting policies and controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide external financial reporting for all jurisdictions in which S&P Global operates.
  • Maintain accounting and financial records.
  • Perform complex day-to-day accounting activities, including financial statement preparation.
  • Responsible for regular review and redesign of day-to-day work practices to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Ensure all work practices, processes, and procedures for the business comply with jurisdictional rules, SOX, and company policies and procedures.
  • Identify issues and propose solutions to management.
  • Makes decisions regarding day-to-day financial issues.
  • Apply broad knowledge of financial principles, business drivers, related areas, and external market to impact efficient and accurate bookkeeping and reporting.
  • Solve complex accounting problems and take a new perspective using existing or new solutions.
  • Work within own team and other related teams, such as payroll, PtoP, treasury, and tax.
  • Contribute to the achievement of team and jurisdictional objectives.
What We're Looking For
  • 5 years or more experience in a related field.
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline required.
  • Proficient with MS Excel (Pivot tables, V-Lookups, IF functions, etc.) and PowerPoint.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA, CPA/Chartered Accountant designation preferred.
  • Experience in Alteryx, BI Dashboarding tools (Tableau, Power BI), Anaplan, and Smartview a plus.
