Job Overview

Position Title: Financial Services Associate

Status: Full-Time / Monday – Friday

Summary:

Pipefitters Steamfitters Credit Union is in search of a dedicated Financial Services Associate to deliver exceptional service to our members and their families, ensuring a high level of accuracy and professionalism in line with our organizational policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and assist members as they enter the credit union.
  • Handle incoming phone inquiries, addressing member needs or directing them to the correct department.
  • Be punctual and prepared to assist members at scheduled times.
  • Conduct routine financial transactions such as deposits and withdrawals, assist with bill payments and loans, accurately identify members, manage daily vault balancing, and maintain new member accounts.
  • Implement appropriate monetary holds, assess members' financial requirements, and recommend suitable products or personnel to meet those needs.
  • Oversee night depository maintenance and documentation, uphold strict confidentiality for member information, balance personal cash drawers, investigate and resolve discrepancies as needed, and maintain adequate supplies and forms.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a teller role is advantageous, although training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods, occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, frequently bend and kneel to access supplies, and engage in repetitive tasks such as typing, counting currency, and writing. Continuous interaction with members and colleagues is essential.
