Shift: Monday - Friday, 5:15 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Compensation: $18.00 per hour
Position Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Precision Rack Operator to support our manufacturing processes. This role is essential in ensuring that products are prepared and processed with the utmost care and precision.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare components for finishing by arranging them on appropriate racks or baskets.
- Efficiently rack and unrack items in designated areas, ensuring secure placement.
- Load and unload products into and from PVD vacuum coating machinery.
- Acquire knowledge of fixturing methods to facilitate effective PVD processing.
- Handle products with care, selecting racks based on dimensions and quantities.
- Conduct visual inspections of parts to ensure compliance with finish standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and traceability of customer property.
- Keep the workspace clean and organized, adhering to safety protocols.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Proficient in English (verbal and written).
- Strong sense of urgency and efficiency in task execution.
- Mechanical aptitude with basic machine shop experience.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Exceptional attention to detail and reliability.
- Flexibility in problem-solving and adaptability to changing situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster teamwork.
- Effective communication skills for reporting issues and implementing solutions.
- Capability to follow directives and comply with safety regulations.
- Consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Willingness to work additional hours as necessary.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical and computer-controlled equipment.
- Preferred two years of experience in manufacturing or machine shop environments.
- Experience in the vacuum coating industry is advantageous.
- Familiarity with PVD coatings or prior plating experience is desirable.
