Declassification Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Declassification Specialist to join our team at FedWriters, Inc. as a Records Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the transfer of critical records to the National Archives while maintaining the highest standards of national security.
Key Responsibilities- Review Agency equities in accordance with Executive Orders and make declassification determinations
- Identify equities from other agencies and coordinate proper referrals of documents to the original classification authority and/or other government agencies
- Assist the government in the accessioning process of reviewed records to the National Archives
- During reviews, identify appropriate metadata for each record and incorporate into the inventory
- TS/SCI clearance with CI poly
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong background in document classification and declassification
- 5+ years of experience applying Executive Order principles to declassification reviews
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to operate independently
- A completed certification from the Department of Energy as a Historical Records Reviewer for the purpose of identifying Restricted Data and Formerly Restricted Data in documents under review
- The physical ability to lift boxes weighing approximately 25 pounds

Compensation will be determined based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and other relevant factors. The pay range is $50.48 per hour.
