Automotive BDC/Scheduler/Customer Service Representative

As a key member of our team, the Service and Sales BDC Representative plays a vital role in engaging with customers and prospects to drive sales and service revenue. This role involves handling inbound and outbound telephone calls, emails, and live chats to provide exceptional customer service and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with customers and prospects to understand their needs and preferences.
- Provide thorough knowledge of our dealership products and services, including new products, features, and accessories.
- Direct customers to product information resources, including those available on the Internet.
- Understand the psychology of Internet customers and work with them to bring them into the store for proper vehicle demonstration and to close the transaction.
- Respond to customer inquiries promptly and deliver messages to other departments as needed.
- Stay up-to-date on federal, state, and local laws governing retail automobile sales.
- Establish personal income goals and devise a strategy to meet those goals.
- Attend product and sales training as requested by manager.
- Experience with Xtime Service Scheduler and Vinsolutions Connect CRM is a plus.
Requirements:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual with six months to one year of related experience and/or training. An Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is preferred but not required. Experience working within a CRM database and Microsoft Office applications is a plus.
Language Skills:
Excellent phone communication skills are essential for this role. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information to customers, clients, and other employees.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
