Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant 2 to join our team at Mercy Health. As a Medical Assistant 2, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support in our medical office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Room patients, collect assessment data, and prepare patients according to specific needs.
  • Assist in examination, treatment, and other clinic procedures.
  • Assist with laboratory procedures, screening tests, and quality improvement projects.
  • Answer telephone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct callers to appropriate personnel or initiate triage slips.
  • Schedule appointments and enter appointment dates and times into the computerized scheduler.
  • Conduct reminder calls to patients.
  • Greet and direct patients, salespeople, and visitors.
  • Register patients by verifying their records are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Maintain and order supplies.

Requirements
  • Graduate of a medical assistant program accredited by ABHES or CAAHEP.
  • Approved CPR or BLS certification within 90 days.
  • Medication injection training and pharmacology competency.
Working Conditions

The Medical Assistant 2 will work in a fast-paced medical office environment, requiring manual dexterity, lifting, and transferring patients. The employee must be able to stand, walk, handle equipment, and perform procedures.
