Job Overview

Fleet Technician

Lone Star Instrumentation & Electric Corporation is seeking a dedicated Fleet Technician to oversee the maintenance and minor repairs of our extensive fleet, adhering to DOT regulations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to enhancing the safety and efficiency of our operations through proactive maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Diesel Mechanic and support various tasks as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining service operations alongside the mechanic.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, including engine tune-ups, oil changes, brake replacements, tire rotations, and filter replacements.
  • Perform test drives to ensure vehicle functionality.
  • Utilize a checklist to verify that all critical components are inspected.
  • Execute other related responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in fleet maintenance.
  • Ability to engage in heavy physical activities, including bending, stooping, reaching, climbing, pulling, and lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Possession of a CDL is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in English; fluency in Spanish is a plus.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory.

Compensation

Salary is commensurate with experience.
