The individual will report directly to the Head Golf Professional & Director of Golf.

Required Experience

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management or customer service, particularly within upscale private clubs. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential for engaging with a diverse clientele. The candidate must possess exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail, along with proficiency in Club Essentials POS systems and Microsoft Office.

A service-oriented mindset and a passion for exceptional hospitality are crucial. The candidate should be a collaborative team player, capable of problem-solving and providing assistance as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Merchandising & Procurement

  • Oversee the acquisition of all soft and hard goods for the golf shop.
  • Develop merchandise strategies, implement actionable steps, and adjust plans based on sales performance and objectives.
  • Maintain visually appealing displays that attract and engage customers.
  • Manage special orders from initiation to completion.
  • Ensure timely receipt of merchandise.

Operational Excellence

  • Utilize Club Essentials and Microsoft Office effectively for transaction processing, inventory management, and report generation.
  • Book tee times and check in golfers using Club Essentials.
  • Learn Golf Genius for member and guest registration for tournaments.
  • Assist in the execution of golf events as required.

Inventory Management

  • Conduct monthly inventory counts to ensure accuracy and accountability.
  • Implement effective inventory control practices to optimize stock levels and minimize shrinkage.
  • Coordinate with the Accounting department regarding all invoices and credits in accordance with invoice terms.

Team Collaboration & Professionalism

  • Exemplify a positive attitude and lead by example.
  • Maintain an organized workspace and stockroom.
  • Uphold a professional appearance and communication style that reflects the club's values.
  • Adhere to club policies, procedures, and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and integrity in all interactions.
