We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious individual to join our aquatics team as a Junior Lifeguard. As a valued member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our members and guests.

• Act as a second responder and work in conjunction with more senior guards to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all pool users.
• Ensure the safety of participants while they are in or near the pool or hot tub.
• Perform general maintenance and cleanliness of the pool, including water testing and problem-solving.
• Relate positively to a variety of people, including other staff, members, program participants, and children.

• Minimum age of 15 (16 for Lifeguard posts).
• Current YMCA Lifeguard, Red Cross Lifeguard, or equivalent certification.
• Current First Aid, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, and Oxygen Administration certification.
• Ability to maintain certification-level of physical and mental readiness.
• Must demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA standards.
