Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals. As a Radiologic Technologist Level IV, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality radiographic services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and supervise the activities of staff, including radiographers and specialized area technologists.
  • Assist with scheduling patient procedures and perform routine and complex radiographic examinations.
  • Maintain and coordinate the availability of radiographic services with other services, clinics, or facilities.
  • Review exam orders, consult with radiologists, and schedule patients as needed.
  • Ensure that all pertinent patient documents are available and that images are properly stored and maintained.
  • Prepare patients for radiological procedures, including equipment, contrast materials, and supplies.
  • Arrange for proper protection of patients, public, and staff from infectious diseases and materials.
  • Perform daily checks of radiographic imaging equipment and maintain adequate stocks of supplies.
  • Report any unexpected patient incidents and maintain radiation safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Valid license and current registration to practice Diagnostic Radiography as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the NYSDOH.
  • Possession of a current advanced-level certification in the appropriate specialty area.
  • Two years of Radiologic Technologist experience, with one year in a supervisory capacity.
