Groundskeeper

Gallery Residential seeks a highly skilled Groundskeeper to maintain the exterior physical features of our communities. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the appearance of our properties meets the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and maintain common areas, office space, and amenities to ensure they are neat and free of litter.
• Remove trash and debris from vacant apartments and transfer it to the dumpster or storage area as applicable.
• Complete minor and routine service requests as assigned by the Service Director and assist with the make-ready process.
• Change locks and ensure gates to pool areas are functioning properly.
• Distribute notices and communications to residents as necessary.
• Report any observed hazards or potentially dangerous situations to supervisors.
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents and others, responding sensitively to complaints and engaging with residents face-to-face.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Employment history demonstrating safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read, understand, and comply with safety and policy manuals.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Mathematical skills to complete basic maintenance duties.
• Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define and correct problems.

Work Environment:

Groundskeepers work both inside and outside of apartment buildings and in all areas of the property, including amenities. They have frequent exposure to outside elements, including temperature, weather, odors, and landscape.

Physical Demands:

Groundskeepers must be able to physically access all exterior and interior parts of the property and amenities, work inside and outside in all weather conditions, and operate golf carts at properties with golf carts.
