Position Overview

The Lead Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for maintaining support, ensuring data integrity, generating ad hoc reports, and overseeing daily operations of the organization's financial and accounting systems. This position is part of the financial systems team and will focus on enhancing system capabilities, streamlining processes, and transforming how finance utilizes technology.
  • System Oversight: Manages financial system applications such as Deltek Costpoint, Time and Expense, Workday Adaptive Planning, and Cognos. Leads the configuration and customization of financial systems to meet business needs and optimize functionality. Ensures security controls are implemented and maintained to protect financial data and comply with regulations. Develops and manages interfaces with other systems for seamless data integration. Monitors system performance and implements strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime. Provides user support for system-related inquiries.
  • Reporting: Handles ad hoc requests for new report creation and updates to existing reports. Utilizes IBM Cognos Analytics and Microsoft Power BI, applying data validation techniques to ensure the accuracy and reliability of all reporting.
  • Business Analysis: Evaluates business processes and requirements to identify opportunities for system enhancements and automation. Maintains comprehensive documentation of systems and processes to accurately reflect their current state. Advises finance personnel, offering insights into system capabilities and proposing innovative solutions for business challenges. Directs the design, development, and execution of finance system upgrades and enhancements. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate finance systems with other business applications. Engages with senior leadership to build positive relationships and align with finance strategies and business objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent post-secondary education and/or relevant work experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 or more years of progressive responsibility in administering financial and accounting systems, particularly Deltek Costpoint.
  • Experience supporting enterprise web applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Proven experience in gathering and documenting technical requirements and translating them into actionable project plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to convey technical information to a non-technical audience.
Salary Range:

$100,000 - $125,000

The base pay for this position may vary within the posted range based on your job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

WPS Inc. is a remote-first organization, offering remote work in approved states.
