Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Captain to join our team at Hampton Inn & Suites Speedway. As a Banquet Captain, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences and ensuring the successful execution of banquet events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Execution: Set up, service, clean up, and tear down of banquet events, ensuring seamless execution and exceeding guest expectations.
  • Table Setting and Service: Set tables, buffets, bars, and snack breaks in assigned areas, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Food and Beverage Service: Professionally serve food and beverages, anticipating guest needs and offering exemplary hospitality.
  • Team Collaboration: Assist other members of the banquet team to deliver phenomenal events, working together to exceed guest expectations.
  • Guest Interaction: Anticipate guest needs, offer personalized service, and maintain a neat and professional appearance, ensuring a positive and memorable experience.
  • Knowledge and Communication: Be knowledgeable of all menu items, contents, preparation methods, and garnishes, accurately answering guest questions and providing clear and professional communication.
  • Additional Duties: Perform all cleaning, opening, and closing duties as assigned, and perform other duties as required by the General Manager.
Requirements
  • Professional Demeanor: Maintain a professional demeanor, warm and welcoming personality, and ability to engage easily with others.
  • Communication Skills: Communicate clearly and professionally, being direct yet tactful and considerate of the audience.
  • Availability: Be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays, maintaining a flexible schedule.
  • Hotel Management Experience: Possess hotel management experience, with a hospitality degree preferred.
  • Physical Demands: Stand, walk, and sit for extended periods, read and visually verify information, grasp, turn, and manipulate objects, and move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than 25 pounds.
