Position Summary:

We are in search of a proficient and seasoned Senior Security Operations Center Lead to lend technical expertise and analytical skills in managing security incidents. The successful candidate will conduct forensic examinations of devices implicated in incidents, investigate potential breaches, and implement measures to mitigate security threats. This role entails researching cyber threats, malware, and threat actors to assess potential impacts and formulate remediation strategies. The Senior SOC Lead will scrutinize network traffic, identify malicious activities, document incident response efforts and lessons learned, and communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding incident response initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Incident Management: Provide expert analysis and technical knowledge for addressing security incidents. Conduct forensic evaluations of devices involved in incidents. Investigate potential breaches and security events to contain and resolve incidents.
  • Research and Evaluation: Investigate cyber threats, malware, and threat actors to assess potential impacts and develop remediation strategies. Analyze network traffic to detect malicious activities.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of incident response activities and lessons learned. Ensure meticulous documentation of all actions taken during incident response.
  • Communication: Clearly communicate incident response efforts to relevant parties, including technical teams and upper management.
  • Security Protocols: Plan, implement, enhance, or monitor security protocols to safeguard computer networks and sensitive information. Ensure that adequate security measures are in place to protect digital assets and critical electronic infrastructure.
  • Breach Management: Respond to cybersecurity breaches and malware incidents, ensuring prompt and effective mitigation to reduce impact.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Strong technical expertise in managing security incidents and conducting forensic analyses.
  • Proficient in investigating potential breaches and security events.
  • Comprehensive understanding of cyber threats, malware, and threat actors.
  • Skilled in analyzing network traffic and identifying malicious activities.
  • Exceptional documentation abilities for recording incident response actions and lessons learned.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively relay incident response activities to various stakeholders.
  • Capability to plan, implement, enhance, or monitor security measures for network and information protection.
  • Experience in addressing cybersecurity breaches and malware incidents.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: GIAC Security Operations Manager (GSOM), CISSP, CISM, CompTIA CASP+, or CompTIA Security+
