Job Summary

SGS is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine laboratory tests to determine the chemical and physical characteristics of materials. This is a hands-on role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine laboratory testing, following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and methods.
  • Prepare and analyze samples for analysis, using relevant equipment and techniques.
  • Record and report test results, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
  • Ensure the laboratory is clean and organized, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve laboratory goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary degree in a science-related field preferred.
  • No experience required, but prior laboratory experience is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate level of English language proficiency required.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, with occasional overtime required. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment, with exposure to chemicals and other hazardous materials. A valid driver's license may be required, depending on the location of the laboratory.
