Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Retail Store Team Member to join our team at Michaels Arts and Crafts. As a Retail Store Team Member, you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of overall look and feel of the store, including maintaining store cleanliness and recovery standards to deliver our Brand Promises. You will also be responsible for delivering friendly customer service, helping customers shop our store and find what they're looking for.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including dusting and damp mopping floors, collecting and disposing of trash, and cleaning assigned areas.
  • Provide excellent customer service, including answering customer questions, helping customers find products, and resolving customer complaints.
  • Assist with visual merchandising, including setting up displays and maintaining store appearance.
  • Participate in inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Support sales efforts, including promoting products and services to customers, and meeting sales goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, including participating in special projects and events.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous retail experience preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Retail and/or customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of visual merchandising and inventory management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales goals.
Work Environment

Our store is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of employees and interact with customers from all over the community. As a Retail Store Team Member, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, including dusting and damp mopping floors, collecting and disposing of trash, and cleaning assigned areas. You will also be responsible for providing excellent customer service, including answering customer questions, helping customers find products, and resolving customer complaints.
