Job Summary

Clean and maintain public and employee areas of property, adhering to departmental policies and procedures. Essential duties and responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare for shift by gathering necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Follow daily assignment sheet to ensure thorough cleaning and maintenance of assigned areas.
  • Clean and sanitize public restrooms, slot machines, and other high-touch areas.
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, and empty trash cans and ashtrays throughout the casino property.
  • Ensure all areas of the casino are free of spills and mishaps, and that eating and drinking utensils are properly stored.
  • Clean and maintain outside areas of the casino, including stairways, parking lot, hallways, and other exterior spaces.
  • Clean glass doors, mirrors, walls, equipment, and furniture inside and outside the building.
  • Clean admin areas and empty trash, adhering to instructions and standards provided by supervisors.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1 year of experience working as a Porter in a casino environment (preferred).
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both spoken and written.
  • Ability to work at a steady pace to meet departmental schedule requirements.
  • Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
  • Good customer service skills and employee relations skills.
Physical Requirements

This role requires:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and 75 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to handle heavy-duty equipment.
  • Ability to push and pull heavy-duty equipment.
  • Prolonged walking, standing, bending, squatting, reaching, and kneeling without restriction.
  • Ability to withstand working with chemicals and noise of equipment.
