Job Summary:

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the Employee Health Department at Becker Health provides screening, vaccination services, and N95 respirator fit testing to employees, volunteers, physicians, and post-job offer applicants. This role also provides clinical support services to the Employee Health Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Director, and Physician. The LVN maintains highly confidential records regarding the health status of employees and prospective employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide screening, vaccination services, and N95 respirator fit testing to employees, volunteers, physicians, and post-job offer applicants.
  • Provide clinical support services to the Employee Health Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Director, and Physician.
  • Maintain highly confidential records regarding the health status of employees and prospective employees.
  • Monitor employee TB screening and immunization requirements, including providing PPD skin testing and other required employee immunizations.
  • Update the EH Director and NP after contracting current listing of non-compliant employees and keep the database up to date for manager access.
  • Provide annual N95 respirator fit test and training to employees and PAPR training (for specific employees) per OSHA requirements.
  • Provide monthly notification to employees of TB screening.
  • Provide PPDs in the EH Clinic and at off-site locations.
  • Maintain highly confidential employee health records of work-related and non-work-related health concerns through data entry and filing of documents.
  • Maintain confidential health records of contracted and Medical Staff.
  • Pre-screening includes: Review of vaccine/titer records, color vision screening, and respirator fit testing, administration of necessary immunizations, PPD skin testing, and drug screening.
  • Place reminder calls to employees with scheduled appointments when requested.
  • Notify employee and pre-screen those exposed to Infectious Diseases under the direction of the NP/RN.
  • Provide follow-up testing as ordered by RN or NP.
  • Obtain and maintain supplies and equipment for optimal utilization.
  • Provide influenza vaccine(s) to eligible employees, physicians, volunteers, and contractors per protocol in the Employee Health Clinic and at off-site locations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Immunization/injection skills essential.
  • Knowledge of data entry and basic clerical skills necessary.
  • Able to perform multiple job tasks simultaneously in a rapid-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills required.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Ability to use electronic medical records.
