Overview of the
Lead Financial Analyst:
The Lead Financial Analyst will support corporate financial operations, execute standard costing and inventory management processes, perform month-end closing activities, facilitate the financial reporting cycle, implement critical business controls, and assist with various analytical requests.
Key Responsibilities of theLead Financial Analyst:
Conduct assigned month-end closing activities, which include calculating accruals, entering journal entries, and reconciling general ledger accounts.
Reconcile bank accounts through journal entries and collaboration with accounts receivable team members to ensure the accuracy of related account balances.
Collaborate with the Controller on the integration of businesses into the general ledger system.
Assist the Controller in maintaining the general ledger and chart of accounts.
Manage construction in progress and fixed asset capitalization activities.
Calculate monthly commissions for sales representatives.
Perform specialized accounting functions for international operations.
Generate, review, and analyze financial reports.
Support annual physical inventory processes.
Coordinate with the corporate tax team to provide timely tax-related financial information.
Assist with annual financial audits and interim audit procedures.
Help implement internal controls by evaluating, recommending, maintaining, and monitoring appropriate measures.
Engage in system enhancements and integration efforts across the organization.
Interact with internal and external stakeholders to respond to inquiries or financial data reporting requests.
Consistently uphold compliance by maintaining the confidentiality of information, safeguarding organizational assets, acting with integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Identify accounting issues, research potential solutions, and present conclusions to management.
Qualifications of theLead Financial Analyst:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
3+ years of progressive accounting experience (general ledger, reporting, costing, public accounting)
Experience in public accounting
Background in manufacturing, assembly, or distribution
Experience with Infor XA system is a plus
Familiarity with OneStream and Sage is advantageous
CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory
Experience with month-end closing processes
Audit experience
Experience with balance sheet reconciliation
Proficient in creating and posting journal entries
Working knowledge of accounts receivable and accounts payable
Strong technology skills, including proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Advanced understanding of chart of accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
Possess strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
