This role is essential in performing the installation, repair, and routine maintenance of medical equipment and systems within the Cayuga Health System. Key duties involve ensuring compliance with established performance standards for electronic patient care devices and providing assistance to other trades with electronic control challenges. The position requires independent decision-making and effective time management to address the specifics of each task.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain clinical equipment, including digital television systems and hospital tube systems.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on the operation and usage of clinical equipment.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments related to designated clinical equipment within the Cayuga Health System.
  • Utilize the hospital information system for entering and retrieving maintenance records.
  • Conduct monthly reporting on preventive maintenance activities and assist in the accreditation process by the Joint Commission.

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Biomedical Electronics or a related field.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in supporting and servicing medical equipment in a healthcare setting.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds, along with the capacity to climb, bend, and work in confined spaces.

Work Environment:

  • This position is primarily onsite.
  • Daily travel between local facilities may be required.

Compensation:

  • Hourly wage ranges from $27.00 to $38.00.
