As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising a team of assemblers, ensuring production targets are met, and quality standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train and develop employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Communicate and delegate daily priorities to other employees to ensure smooth operation of the assembly process.
  • Release jobs to QA/QC to ensure quality control and adherence to manufacturing standards.
  • Order parts from GEXPRO to ensure timely delivery and minimize downtime.
  • Lead and mentor 5S and continuous improvement projects to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Lead quality initiatives to ensure high-quality products are delivered to our customers.
  • Communicate with other departments to resolve issues and drive timely completion of jobs.
  • Review bill of materials and drawings for issues to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in interviews and new hire selection to ensure the right candidates are hired for the role.
  • Identify training needs for the group and develop appropriate training plans to ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Assist in tracking job efficiency and productivity to identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in employee evaluation process to ensure fair and accurate assessments.
  • Communicate passdown information to ensure seamless handovers and minimize downtime.
  • Lead safety and quality meetings to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements
  • Minimum education level of a High School Diploma or General Education Equivalent Diploma is preferred.
  • 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of system software (i.e. Oracle, MES, True View) to look up parts and drawings.
  • Lift up to 50lbs using proper lifting techniques.
Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge and understanding of Engineering Change orders.
  • Read and understand spec sheets and follow proper use of hardware by spec requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge of single and three-line drawings, including symbols.
  • Ability to identify part discrepancies and properly write HFDs for corrections.
  • Knowledge of mechanical drawings and designs.
  • Ability to complete complex engineering changes.
  • Effectively demonstrates on-time delivery and the ability to stay focused on goals and responsibilities.
  • Self-starter with ability to take on multiple tasks with a drive to succeed.
  • Challenges the status quo; looks for better or more efficient ways to get results.
  • Ability to adapt to new ideas, technology, processes or product changes.
  • Believes and displays through actions that our customers represent our current success and remain vital to our future growth.

Working Conditions
  • Safety sensitive position in a temperature-controlled manufacturing or industrial environment with occasional outside activities.
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) (i.e., safety shoes, hard hats, bump caps, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety harnesses as required) and respirators when required.
  • Must be able to work from all type of ladders (step ladders, A frame ladders, etc.)
  • Working at heights usually no higher than 20 feet in the air on an elevated structure using proper lift equipment and Fall Protection Equipment.
Physical Requirements
  • Able to maintain body equilibrium and agility to prevent falling when walking, standing, crouching, ascending or descending stairs or step ladders.
  • Bending the body at the waist, the legs at the knees, and extending arms and hands in any direction.
  • Continuous standing and walking.
  • Able to use upper extremities frequently, work with both arms above shoulders and use both arms at full length frequently.
  • Must be able to meet physical lifting demand up to 50lbs.
  • Frequent use of hand tools and power tools.
