Distillation Operator

Veolia North America is seeking a skilled Distillation Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for processing a variety of bulk and liquid waste through the operation of thin film evaporators and pot stills.

• Operate distillation units to recover hazardous and non-hazardous materials in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
• Perform compatibility testing on hazardous materials to ensure mixtures are in compliance with recovery specifications.
• Load, unload, and sample bulk tankers and/or drums to ascertain accuracy of hazardous materials contents.
• Operate and maintain all equipment in a professional manner to ensure optimum efficiency and effectiveness.
• Perform basic laboratory production duties such as GC FID analysis, Moisture analysis, APHA (color) and peroxides.

• High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) preferred.
• Prior work experience in the hazardous waste/related industry required.
• OSHA HAZWOPER training and Forklift Certification required.
