Job Summary:
As a Radiologic Technologist at Saint Joseph Hospital - IM, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients. This is a 13-week contract opportunity with a guaranteed 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures for radiologic diagnosis according to physician specifications.
- Operate all X-ray imaging and related equipment appropriately.
- Educate, position, immobilize, and perform X-ray procedures accurately.
- Coordinate X-ray examinations to ensure timeliness, quality, and continuity of patient care.
- Follow provider imaging orders correctly.
- Submit required images and related clinical information for Radiologist interpretation.
- Evaluate image quality effectively.
- Communicate openly, accurately, and responsively with patients, coworkers, Radiologists, and leadership.
- Utilize, charge, and maintain department supplies appropriately.
- Practice sterile technique and follow infection prevention policies.
- Handle multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines successfully.
- Safely perform X-ray procedures, including patient transfer.
- Prepare and administer contrast following Radiologist protocol.
- Follow Radiation Safety Measures (ALARA) to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Supervise and evaluate Student Radiographers in a clinical setting.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- ARRT Certification.
- CT Certification.
- BLS.
- American Heart Association.
- Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multifunctional team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to function successfully in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
- Experience with computers, including Microsoft Office Suite.
