Job Overview

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled Chief Data Architect to join our Business Intelligence (BI) team supporting key clients. Our clients rely on us to provide technical leadership and assist them in solving complex digital transformation issues and data analytics needs.

The successful candidate will help address operational challenges associated with data modeling, system architectures, data warehousing, integration, and other BI/analytics needs by applying advanced capabilities, modern technology, and best practices to real-world scenarios.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who can work closely with clients on a broad range of Data/BI-oriented areas, including:

  • Data Warehouse Architecture Design: Develop, test, and implement analytics data warehouse architecture.
  • ETL Environment Implementation: Migrate and implement ETL environments.
  • Report/Dashboard Creation: Create reports and dashboards using leading visualization technology platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, OBIEE).
  • Data Modeling: Develop data models involving both structured and unstructured data sets.
  • Relational Data Architectures: Design relational data architectures.
  • Data Integration Processes: Implement data integration processes.
  • Model-Based System Engineering: Apply model-based system engineering techniques.

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent 4-year degree in computer science or related information technology field.
  • 4+ Years of Experience: 4+ years of experience developing and maintaining data interchange systems, interfacing with various data sets, including flat files, direct database connections, and XML transactions.
  • ETL Tools: 4+ years of experience with ETL tools.
  • Data Modeling: 4+ years of experience with data modeling.
  • SQL: 4+ years of experience developing data analytics ETL environments to support data analytics capabilities.
  • SQL: Experience with SQL.
  • Visualization Technology Platforms: Experience with leading visualization technology platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, OBIEE).
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and collaborate with others.
  • Problem-Solving: Flexible, self-starter, and demonstrated ability to operate effectively with ambiguous and evolving objectives in a client-facing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

We also look for candidates with:

  • Scripting Languages: 3 years of experience using scripting languages (e.g., Python).
  • Tableau Server Administration: 1 year of experience with Tableau Server Administration.
  • Data Validation: 2 years of experience working with customers in data validation, troubleshooting, and business requirements definition activities.
  • Database Development: 7 years of experience performing database development using SQL or PL/SQL.
  • ETL Techniques: 1 year of experience developing a data analytics ETL environment to specifically support Tableau visualizations.
  • Government Entity: 1 year of experience using ETL techniques to support a data analytics program for a government entity.
  • Statistics Courses: 2 satisfactorily completed statistics courses from an accredited college, or 1 year of professional experience using statistics.
  • Written Communication: Strong written communication skills.

Salary Range

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $80,000 - $130,000.
