Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Quality Control: Assist in troubleshooting assembly problems and resolve them in a timely manner to meet customer ship dates.
  • Inventory Management: Coordinate with line leaders to organize and control tools and supplies.
  • Tool Maintenance: Inspect assembly tools for wear and damage, and perform minor set-up and maintenance of equipment.
  • Process Improvement: Reduce production variances by reviewing closed orders and coordinating with Manufacturing and Engineering departments.
  • Supply Requisition: Requisition supplies, including epoxies, solder, bags, drill bits, etc.
  • Training and Development: Update and maintain training records, and assist in the training of operators on new or revised processes, products, or procedures.
  • Assembly Rework: Coordinate assembly-related rework-MRB activity (breakdown/rebuild).
  • Process Development: Assist in developing processes and tooling/fixtures for new products.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment, and perform difficult assembly operations as necessary.
  • Team Collaboration: Assist the production manager as needed, and work independently and in a team environment.
Requirements
  • Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of IPC and J-Standards soldering criteria, and experience with micrometers and calipers.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to interpret complex electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with Office software tools, including MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Quality and Safety: Understanding of ISO 9001 and FOD standards, and ability to read blueprints.
  • Education and Experience: Production experience or technical school, engineering studies, or combination thereof.
