Mechanical Reliability/Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary

The Mechanical Reliability/Maintenance Engineer plays a critical role in maximizing overall equipment effectiveness by establishing reliability procedures, controls, and reporting systems. This position ensures continuous improvement of all maintenance reliability processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support all safety programs and goals, including OSHA standards
  • Develop and monitor predictive/preventive maintenance programs and procedures
  • Collaborate with Project Engineering to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified equipment
  • Establish and enforce standards and procedures for reliability decisions
  • Optimize equipment effectiveness by establishing and managing reliability controls
  • Monitor and confirm equipment reliability through audits and performance tracking using KPIs
  • Ensure reliability of equipment by establishing predictive/preventive maintenance requirements and service contracts
  • Perform root cause analysis on major process interruptions to eliminate or reduce reoccurrence
  • Develop and monitor a preventive maintenance optimization process for continuous improvement
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in an Engineering role within a manufacturing facility, preferably in an FDA-controlled industry
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend advanced electrical/electronic schematics and mechanical drawings
Working Conditions

The working conditions consist of an office environment with frequent visits to manufacturing units for troubleshooting, project management, design, and implementation. Manufacturing areas are not climate-controlled, and personal protective equipment may be required.
