Position Overview

Providence is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide essential care in a compassionate environment. Our mission is to ensure that care is accessible to all, particularly those who are most vulnerable.

Compensation and Benefits

Eligible candidates may receive a hiring bonus of up to $2,500 along with relocation assistance. This position offers full-time hours (36 hours weekly) with options for day or night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the bedside RN and charge nurse, CNAs are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients and their families. Duties include:

  • Facilitating effective communication between patients and nursing staff.
  • Ensuring a clean and hazard-free environment conducive to patient care.
  • Assisting with daily living activities as directed by nursing staff.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a training program for Certified Nurse Aides (CNA) or equivalent experience.
  • Medical Terminology course completion or passing the hospital's medical terminology test within 90 days of hire.
  • Valid Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification upon hire.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
